We were back at the Brewery last week for our second Benchmark Summit to present the insights from this year’s TA Benchmarking Programme. We bookended the event with a couple of amazing keynotes – Lord Holmes discussing his campaign against unpaid internships (‘let’s send them back to the Dickensian age’) and Simon Fanshawe highlighting a strategic approach to implementing effective D&I processes and delivering one of my favourite quotes of the day ‘urgency is not a reason not to recruit properly’.
The heart of the day was a series of workshops exploring the findings of various aspects of the benchmark with some fantastic insights throughout, A couple of particular picks were:
- There are typically 10 different tech touch points in a candidate hiring process
- You don’t need a sophisticated technology to create a predictive analytics model
- Ex-offenders are one of the easiest groups to engage with. You just have to stop labelling them
All in all, it was a wonderfully engaging and energising day but don’t just take my word for it:
Nicola Marshall People Director at Welcome Break: “Great day full of thought provoking insight.”
Wendy Doherty FCIPD People Director at Bestway Retail Limited: “Was a fabulous event. Great day and very thought provoking”
Melissa Angerson Head, Early Careers at Standard Chartered Bank: “An insightful, fast paced day. Looking forward to the next.”
Samantha Hope Head of Attraction & Recruitment, Shoosmiths: “I had a fantastic afternoon! Thank you to all of the speakers and everyone involved.”
We’re looking forward to next year already but, in the meantime, you can download our 2019 Talent Acquisition Benchmark Report.
